At 60 years of age, having never tried transition surgery due to financial reasons and now feel it's too late at this point. I also have health issues with hyperthyroidism, I do fear what the government is doing against us trans people.

Though I knew by age seven I did not conform, I buried those aspects of my life for sixty more years. I invited myself in at 68 and haven't looked back. Don't forget, you have Medicare on your horizon, and currently surgical alignment procedures are still covered (at least for now). I have my final consult in four weeks and a surgery date in late October.
