My question somewhat related to this discussion, , I finished my 6 weeks of radiation about a month ago, saw my PC last week for a basic physical, my blood test concerned me , last summer before my surgery my WBC was 8.8 last week it was 2.93 very low for white blood count, PC didn’t seem too alarmed ??? Said let’s test again in 3 months after my Lupron wears off. Anyone know if radiation could cause this ? Sent a message to radiologist maybe supplements could help ??

Yes, radiation can reduce Your white blood cell count. The thing is, that’s usually temporary.

White blood cell counts typically reach their lowest point about 7–14 days after treatment, and most blood cell counts begin to recover and rise on their own within 2–4 weeks after therapy ends.
