the dairy thing comes and goes for me. i do best with goat cheese.
i take not eating wheat, rye, barley and oats very seriously. quinoa is also bad but probably for other reasons i don’t know about. i take digestive enzymes occasionally. i have been off gluten for 30 years now. like most, it was a rocky road to get to that point.
hope your girl feels better quickly. make sure she gets a lot of protein and enough B12.

I agree about the dairy. I deduced that if I'm totally off dairy for many months or a year, I am OK to have a small amount of cheese or other. I do like goat cheese and in a pinch I get a GF cheese substitute. It's pricy with no food value, but once in a rare while it's worth it.
I don't react to oats. It's a different gluten that many Celiacs react to. I get Bobs organic, GF oats. What GF digestive enzyme do u take? It's been a long time since I checked and there weren't any since then.
