In my case they did the blood test (that was available many years ago) but was necessary to follow up with an endoscopy to verify there was no error and also to estimate the damage.

the dairy thing comes and goes for me. i do best with goat cheese.
i take not eating wheat, rye, barley and oats very seriously. quinoa is also bad but probably for other reasons i don’t know about. i take digestive enzymes occasionally. i have been off gluten for 30 years now. like most, it was a rocky road to get to that point.
hope your girl feels better quickly. make sure she gets a lot of protein and enough B12.
