@marthal

I got hives after my 6th injection, about 14 of them, on my neck and upper back. It took them about 3 weeks to resolve. Very itchy. I also am resolving panniculitis around my knee. While hives are a considered possible reaction to Evenity, Panniculitis (lumps) are not, although both are considered a hyper-sensitivity, possibly accumulated, immune responses. I'm off Evenity after 6 injections, although I did get.a 7.5% increase in BMD in my spine. My Doctors mostly don't understand how Evenity, or any mab, works. My doctors seems more concerned about the hives. I'm anxious about the lumps

Could you share your T scores before and after the Evenity? Also, are you on another drug to lock in your gains? I hope your issues go away soon. My Dr recommended it but I am so afraid of the side effects I've read about here. Thanks.

Yes, I did tell her and she said she’s never heard of that complaint. And I can say, without hesitation, that I find that very hard to believe. I’m having other strange symptoms but this one trumps the others for now.

I had my first Evenity injection 4 days ago and have had burning sensation in my legs below the knees as well as a general feeling of fatigue and discomfort. Has anyone else had a similar reaction? Might these symptoms be temporary?

Hello @kff16,

I combined your discussion with an existing discussion titled:

"Evenity Side Effects"
- https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/evenity-7/

Here many members have openly discussed some of the challenges they have experienced with Evenity. @kff16, because we all tolerate medications differently, it can be a bit difficult to draw a straight line between what we each experience and how we tolerate medications. Many Connect members have talked about needing to transition to other medications that work really well for some but do not agree with them.

@kff16 - have you been prescribed Evenity or experienced some side effects yourself?

My last 6 month of Evenity was horrible with pain and neuropathy pain excerbation. After last dose pain is decreasing except in my left hip and leg. Never have had hip pain before. I can not have a scan until December so not sure it help. I am upping supplement and probably will not repeat any more infusion of any kind. This has really altered my lifestyle. Just my experience. Good luck.
