Strong abdomen pain?

Posted by help541 @help541, 3 days ago

Hello,
I previously went to the ER twice because my abdomen was hurting. The first time, the doctors didn't do anything, but the second time, they did CT scans, a sonogram, a blood test, and urine tests. All came back fine, but I have still been having pain. Fast forward a few months I have been put on birth control to determine if it's female issues or other problems going on. I started the birth control like a month and a half ago, this month I have started my period for the THIRD time, Ive been crying for the past hour because the pain is so bad, and it's not a period cramp pain its the abdomen pain. For the past week or so ***TMI*** when I wiped its been a black substance... don't know if that means anything.

Black can mean, intestinal bleeding though medications can also cause that notoriously pepto bismol but also
activated charcol, iron supplements, antibiotics even blueberries You might see a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy, to be safe. Simple things like flatulence can be remarkably painful, but some conditions need care.
There is an increase in GI cancers and a dangerous condition where the colon twists disabling the digestive tract.
You may be due for a colonoscopy anyway.

Have you seen a gastroenterologist and asked to have a full pelvic ultrasound, endoscopy, colonoscopy and HYDA scan to check gallbladder function? You should have your blood checked again with a full iron panel to check for deficiency/anemia. It wouldn’t hurt to get a full thyroid panel, too.
