Please talk to me about pseudomonas, nocardia and aspergillious

Does anyone have experience with these bacteria and fungi? I had a PICC line for 2 weeks. Now what happens?

I am a lifer on Azithromycin as well. Take a probiotic, it helps with stomach issues. Been taking it for the last 3 years 3x per week.

I have been on this regimen for a month now. Seems to be working pretty well. I have chronic fatigue so it is hard to decide if it is helping but I think it is. I have more stamina and get things done in a.m. as I know by 4-5 pm I'm going to be dragging.

How has it been for you since you've been on azithro for quite some time?? I do take probiotic but still have stomach problems. I'm also eating probiotic yogurt which does help but don't like it every day.

Thanks for helping. Anxious to hear how you have done over a length of time.

If you have breathing issues, that is probably where the fatigue comes from. I am 68 and have slowed down a lot so hard to tell if I am tired because I am OLD or breathing or meds. I have days that I feel like I am 30 and get tons of stuff done and when my stomach is kinda screwed up then I am not as active. When are you taking the Azithromycin? I take a probiotic before lunch and Azithromycin at night before bed.
I have been on Azithromycin for at least 5 years 3x per week. I do OK. I notice I have fewer "stomach feels funny" days when I remember to take my probiotic. I find that when I get involved with a project (my husband and I appear to like projects) I do not notice my stomach as much. Also sleep is super important. Make sure that you are getting enough. Oh, I eat yogurt too but make it into a dessert. I put blueberries on top, this stuff called Cranberry delight (crushed whole cranberries, pineapple, nuts) on top and maybe some granola with coconut in it. Delicious. It was supposed to be a snack before dinner last night but it turned into dinner.

What is p ff line? I have MAC and pseudomonas. I had to take cipro antibiotic for awhile and it help, then, I had coughing up blood, so the cipro got rid of that. I just do bevespi now after starting to cough alot after blood went away. I was told pseudomonas is a serious and complicated infection. What do you know about it.

Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line, there is a full explanation here on this website but not sure where. I had the PICC line for two weeks but pseudomonas is a stubborn bacteria and came back. I have an Infectious Disease Dr. and she finally contained it with antibiotics. Mine did colonate in my right lung so I have to try to avoid getting another infection. Not sure how that is done. If you had cipro and that caused issues for you, I SUGGEST you question the use of Levaquin if it is prescribed to you. They are from the same fluoroquinolone family. My Dr. prescribed both and I now have lasting side effects. What is MAC?

Had good luck with cipro. I see doc this week about new coughing episodes. In the meantime, brevespi twice a day helps.

Regarding MAC, try googling. Lots of explanations there. If you've had your phlegm tested, then maybe you don't have it, but it's very common with BE.
