Let’s have a chat about what if anything works to improve your life wi

Many if not all of us with idiopathic neuropathy have seen hundreds if not thousands of Dr’s for our neuropathy. So what really has improved your life? Be specific to help all. There are more companies selling us crap that they claim will help. Seems an honest discussion about what really has impact is needed. For me, I have stopped seeing specialist as it has not proven successful. Still see GP for Gabapentin RX.

So let’s get into the reality of what is working. For me it is not seeing more Dr’s. So let’s help each other with what has really worked for you so we can all learn. Maybe we can find some comfort for all.

Great question! I have Lymphoma and Neuropathy. I.V.I.G. was amazingly successful in reducing my cancer blood numbers and clear my skin. Weekly Ozone therapy has been a game changer in how I feel. It took about eight treatments to get me to that point. I feel better than I have in five or ten years!

Since my medical plan covers it, I like to take a few physical therapy sessions for a period once a year. It helps me to have an “expert” look at my form and gait to help coach me on things to continue, things to start doing, or things to stop doing. I don’t want to assume that I’m doing everything optimally when I might be slipping into a bad method that might end up hurting me and setting me back. We need to keep our muscles strong, even if they don’t communicate with our nerves that well. We also don’t need to fall… BUT, if we must, I’m even coached on the safest way to fall, and how to try to get back up.

I've recently used laser therapy for my neuropathy and have not taken anything for pain in almost 2 months.

I had to pay out of pocket for my therapy and it wasn't cheap. What a miracle!!

I have 19 sessions under my belt. Going now for maintenance. I'm going to try to see how far apart I can extend my visits.

Hello

Can you describe what part of your body you have neuropathy symptoms. Is this cold laser treatment? How are the symptoms reduced. Any additional color is welcomed. Thank you.

Has anyone had success from someone who offers chiropractic based treatment for neuropathy? Does your neuropathy affect the way that you walk such that you walk gimpy or with a noticeable limp?
Many years ago [maybe 35 or thereabouts] I was reaching down into a large cardboard barrel to get a scoop of chemical and felt something pull in my lower back. It was painful and I was pretty much bent over and couldn't stand up straight. When I got home I was on the couch for a couple days. Sorta feels that way now when I start to walk, it gets painful and I feel like I'm being bent over.

I wouldn't let a chiropractor touch me with a ten foot pole.

I have noticed changes in how I walk and try to force myself back to where I was before IPN. I have been having pains in both my left and right groin - especially in the middle of the night - which is relatively new. I definitely do feel different in how I walk!

Does the pain ease when you get moving after a few minutes?

No. If I do too much I end up feeling devastated like I can't take another step and I'm as good as done for for the rest of the day.

I also have gotten little help from my neurologist. When I asked what tips she could give to make my life better, she answered - hydrate! This cite has given me more help, encouragement, and information than anyone else. I do have some questions. I have had pn for over a year and half. 4months ago, my legs suddenly felt very week. Does pn most often get worse? If so, will the pt I'm getting right now, actually help? I'm having trouble accepting this, any suggestions? Thanks, everybody!

OVER THE YEARS

Over the years, I used my local chiropractor, but a few weeks ago ago, he added after my surgery on the bottom pigmy rest-end that fixed the lose of pain.

He - the chiropractor - added something when he is working at our college/university for players outside. He added the same thing, working my back of my brain down to my feet. It added at little time and moving faster than the next 3 years after my surgery.

Thx,
