Your message reminds me of a TV ad for depression. A lady is at the doc office saying her drug was not helping. The doc says sometimes you need more than one. Then at bottom of the ad it says that if after taking the drug you feel like committing suicide to call your doctor!!!!
Just like my comments to those who have problems with afib, I always suggest eliminating all caffeine and to drink more water and eat your fruits and veggies and stop processed foods.
If you knew my background, you would understand that I have every reason for taking anti-depressants but I don't. Never have. Going through issues right now. Many reasons are from past bad decisions or just things that are thrown our way. We are not responsible for what happens to us, but how we respond to it. I believe in facing head on my problems. Walking can clear out the funk my mother used to say.
Eating too high a sugar diet can in itself cause depression from your blood sugar going up and down. A lack of peace can be caused by us doing or thinking things against God's rules. I go to church, confess my sins, and read the Bible for wisdom.
Perhaps an unconventional post, but some of our problems can be mental in that focusing and dwelling on things we need to sweep out of our head, or spiritual which means we need to talk to God, but not just that, listen to what He has to say which is all in God's word and limit our friends to those who lift us up and not drag us down or lead us in the wrong direction. I am not a run to the doctor person and entrust my wellbeing to a person who is taught to hand out drugs. God is the best counselor and doctor because He knows everything about you and can give you guidance in many many ways. Through friends, through knowledge of nutrition, and teaching you what advice is whacko and just plain dangerous.
Ultimately, we are responsible for every decision we make, what we throw down our hatch meaning mouth, who we spend time with and the consequences of all.
I hope that what I have said will ring bells for some. The rest can ignore.
