Hello @rheachi22,

It is always concerning to get test results that indicate high or low levels of anything in our bodies. To see B12 numbers above 2,000 must have been a bit of a jolt.

There is another discussion on Connect on high levels of B12 that you may find useful to look through and participate in if you feel comfortable:

"High levels of Vitamin B-12 and Ferritin: Any pointers?"

@rheachi22, if you are comfortable sharing, were you experiencing anything in particular that led to you being tested for B12 or was it something that showed up routinely in your bloodwork? Have you had a chance to discuss the B12 levels with the provider who ordered your testing?

Yes, I was experiencing exhaustion and confusion and thinking my B12 and other markers may be off so I asked for some tests to be run (b12, thyroid, Vit d, iron). All were normal except B12. And rather than low, which I was expecting, I was surprised when it came up so high. My doctors told me I was taking too much B12 so I just stopped and 6 months later took the test again (still tired) and it had not changed. I see my new doctor on Monday and she was doing some more research also on this so it will be good to have a talk about where to go from here.
