I too have AIP type 1. I did many rounds of predisone and every time they tried tapering off I would flare up again. Then the dr tried mercaptopurine which testing showed my liver could tolerate. Unfortunately it did not and I had to discontinue.
I am now on rituximab infusions and do them every 6 months. My labs are good and I have been in remission for over 2 years.

Can you tell me the lifestyle changes to be made if u hve AIP?

@ldhamh I assume you have been tested for IgG4, which is a 1 in 100,000 disease, often called autoimmune pancreatitis, but it presents with a lot of different symptoms. about 50% or so of cases involve the pancreas, but so many cases are diagnosed in patients with autoimmune problems it is often diagnosed by rheumatologists.
