Have had numbness in my feet for the last 10 years. Doctor says he can't do anything about it because I don't have any pain just numbness.

I also agree you definitely need to see an experienced and knowlaegeable neurologist. You are definitely though in much better luck than me since I started having neuropathy last year and I am already at the point of major pain in my feet where I am unable to walk. I wish you the best.

You also may want a mri of your lumbar spine to see if you have any compression causing foot numbness. I had numbness in both feet that was tied to my lumbar spine and it improved after I had surgery.

I also take alpha Lipoic acid and acetyl l carnitine supplements plus magnesium that helps my neuropathy.

You may want to have your vitamin b12 and b6 checked. Deficiencies or toxicities of B vitamins can cause neuropathy.

Do you take a multivitamin?

Believe me I know the feeling. I work at Summa Health hospital, second biggest hospital in the area after Cleveland Clinic, and I am now on my second neurologist at University Hospitals. The neurologist at Summa Health was of no help. The one at University Hospitals was much more knowledgeable. I feel it's pure luck in the medical field.

@jb2610 Like John Bishop, I have only numbness and fortunately, experience no pain. I first diagnosed around 2016 and 9 years ago I had no pain, similar to you. I went to Mayo in MN in 2020 and was told not much could be done about this. So, in a way, sounds like your doctor is right.

There definitely are some things to help with our numbness and perhaps pain. I have been using a product by Juice Plus that has multiple servings of berries in it. This has helped considerably with my numbness and I also have started using Dynamic nerve from stonehedge. This has helped also. My brothers older than me and his whole legs and feet are numb but he's not doing this treatment. I was amazed at how young I was when I started having this. I was in my early forties. Best wishes to you.
I purchased my Juice Plus berries from a distributor. I am not a distributor.

I recently had a spinal cord injury in my thoracic area. Before I had surgery the toes on both feet felt numb with the sensation of mud or something between my toes. It's awful feeling. Could this be neuropathy or compressed nerves? Anyone have this feeling?

Jb2610 ,
I looked up foot numbness.
Demyelinaton of your nerves. That happens a lot to drinkers. Anyway, try taking a lot of MTHYLCOBALAMIN. That's vitamin B12. Excess is urinated. Good luck.

After seeing several neurologists I complained to my orthopedic doctor that they are not helpful. He confided that orthopedists have a few jokes about this. Here is one:
Two men were in a hot air balloon. A gust of wind came and blew them off course into a bank of clouds. When they descended far enough they spotted a man in a field. They yelled down to him "Where are we?".
He replied, "You're in a hot air balloon". One man in the gondola turned to the other and said: He must be a neurologist. The other man asked why. The first man said, He's entirely correct but totally useless.
