MGUS Bloodwork Frequency

I want to follow up on this, in case anybody’s reading it anymore. First, the MRI showed the new compression fractures had already healed. It took too long to get the appointment, but better late than never, because he would’ve gone in for a kyphoplasty and who knows what would’ve happened then! Thankfully, it showed no MGUS involvement in those healed vertebral fractures.
Second, he had bloodwork this week at the lab, and was due to have a follow-up appointment to discuss it next week. Well, it was just so difficult getting him in and out the building, and up and down the elevator and hallways with my pushing him in a rather dilapidated wheelchair, and he was worn out the whole rest of the afternoon and evening — we requested a telephone appointment for next week, and today we got the OK on doing the phone visit. So big victory there, and thanks again, everyone, for your help! It doesn’t look like there’s anything new and different on his bloodwork. Just MCV is out of normal range because of his anemia and that’s nothing new over the last four years. So they probably won’t have much to talk about, anyway.

Turns out the bloodwork showed "slight progression" of the M protein, but not enough to treat, yet. So, another test and follow-up in 6 months.....
