Have you had experience w/ costochondritis?

@michelle1075 I have had the same experience twice. Both times went to ER via ambulance. Had cardiac work ups but nothing showed and eventually was sent home with instructions to get a full cardiac work -up. Twice I had every cardiac test. A cardiologist told me to suck on mints—it helped. My heart is in good condition; no evidence of a cardiac event! Now, I’m of the opinion that it probably is costochondritis. But, that’s after 2 full work-ups that were negative.
I would totally agree with @sueinmn . Please get a referral to cardiology! Let the doctors decide! You can ask them if it could be costochondritis based on the inflammatory situation in your body,
Better safe than sorry!!

Thanks for mentioning that the cardiologist recommended mints. I was going to say it would be good if they were covered in chocolate LOL. However, that led me to look it up and I found an article that lists foods that can contribute to Costochondritis as well as foods that may help relieve it. I was very surprised to read that it is common amongst people with fibromyalgia. Sometimes it feels as though I know nothing about Fibromyalgia or that I’ve researched and searched out everything to make it better. It can be exhausting and sometimes feels impossible but never stop educating yourself because you don’t know what bits of info can change your life.
