Asymptomatic MAC patient here. . . . long history of lung infections and my lungs are battle scarred. For the past year i have been on azithromycin 500 mg daily , i dont see any changes or improvement but i never did have cough or sputum.

Who is treating you? This is not a usual protocol for managing MAC/NTM as the bacteria doesn't respond well to a single antibiotic. Typically at this point the doctor would need new CT images to compare to a year ago, and see if there is any progress. Has this been suggested/

It is being used to control your lung inflammation. It's a newish treatment for COPD. I am on it now also.
