Has anyone ever had a urine mold toxin test (Mycotox screen) come back positive? If so, were there any ill effects to your kidneys before or after the test?

@jmr4ever, I moved your question about urine testing to your original discussion in the Kidney group.

My understanding is that there are no FDA-approved tests specifically designed for measuring mycotoxins in human urine. While some laboratories offer urine tests for mycotoxins, these tests are not validated by the FDA for clinical use or for diagnosing illness.

Is this a test that you are familiar with from your time working in labs? Did you find a new nephrologist? Did they order the test? What is your doctor trying to confirm or rule out?
