@jenniferanderson1, Good Morning and welcome to Mayo Connect. This is a very good question and I hope that we can provide some answers and conversation that will be helpful to you. We are not medical professionals and we cannot diagnose any condition. But we do share from our own experiences and provide support for each other.
Along with your current physical discomfort, I imagine that you are extremely fearful of what you have been told. I would like to get some more information from you in order to better communicate with you. Who ordered this ultrasound and told you this? and Do you have any kind of follow-up appointment scheduled?
Right now, I would encourage you to get your symptoms checked by a medical professional. Your health and wellbeing are important. So do not delay. Early diagnosis and treatment are important if it is liver related.
I am attaching a link to Mayo Clinic information about NASH and Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

@jenniferanderson1, have you seen a gastroenterologist for your symptoms?
@jenniferanderson1, I am thinking about you today I hope you are feeling better soon. I think I know how uncomfortable you are with the swollen abdomen. When I was suffering with advanced liver disease, (this is not to say that is what you have) there were fluids that collected around my abdome called ascites. This fluid was drained through an out patient process. Have you talked with a doctor yet?
Hugs,
Rosemary
