My son at age 27 was also DC with Glio. We had a hard year of surgery, chemo, radiation along with physical, occupational, and speech therapy as he suffered a stroke during the surgery. We did squeeze in some special memories of home cooked dinners that he loved from his momma since I moved him home. We enjoyed dinners out after appointments. We were even able to take a family trip ( I have 3 Autistic children that still live at home) but it was very stressful for me. But the MRIs every couple month looking for new growth were nerve wracking. When they found new growth we opted to try Optune. But the Glio still snuck down into his brainstem and that's how we lost him. My family was of no support during that time and still.isnt. Its like he never existed. I still cry everyday and he passed in August of 2022. This has isolated me from my family which feels like a double loss. I definitely understand what you went through and this grief that never ends.
