What are your experiences with tramadol ?
I have been taking tramadol for over 20 years. It was first prescribed for knee pain. This was the era when they did meniscus surgery. I'm sure the medication is not effective for me now, but it continues to be prescribed. Any other thoughts or experiences?

In general, I don’t think it’s wise to take painkillers forever. Tramadol makes me nauseous.
I’m allergic to opioids so I’ve tried Tramadol, but it made me nauseous.
Agradezco su comentario. me pudiersa explicar un poco mas sobre las radiofrecuencias?

I was prescribed Tramadol for my severe neck pain from stenosis/spondylosis. It worked great! But, within 24 hours, it had caused my prostate to swell and shut off my urinary flow. I spent two weeks with a catheter, absolute hell. I wish I could still take it, as it greatly helped my C-spine pain.
It didn't provide any pain relief for me personally after my surgery, but it did make me itch like I had a major case of fleas. I itched myself bloody. I was so out of it in pain at home, I didn't realize I could advocate for myself. I hope you are able to find an alternative to it that will provide you with effective pain relief.
with tramadol I got a sleeping pill which did not work. For 3 days no pain, no sleep, 2nd day my vision went blurry, 3rd day it was worse and still no sleep. stopped the pill.
I have been taking Tramadol since 2019. I go to a pain clinic. I discussed the same isssue with my doctor and he put put me on hydrocodone-acetaminophen 5-325 recently. Tramadol did stop working for me. I believe you are right about that. We can tell. Don't give up. Keep asking and maybe they will get tired of hearing it. It took a few months before he changed my pain medicine. I still take 100 mg Tramadol extended release/24 hours. With a new issue that came up a couple of weeks ago, my pain pills weren't sufficient. So he doubled my tramadol to 200 mg. I told him that I don't believe it will help because I have built up a resistance to Tramadol. He said I have to try this and if it doesn't work, we'll do something else. I am a little surprised though because I think it is helping. Good Luck! Don't give up. There are options out there. Keep asking what else can be done.
I have taken tramadol for about a year. It actually called tramacet as it’s a combo of 5mg tramadol with 300mg acetaminophen. I take it for nerve pain in my L4/5 and also cervical nerve pain. I try to use it only at night but sometimes I have to take it during the day. For the burning nerve pain it works quite well but I’ve been using it more lately and became concerned so my Doctor and I are trying Pregabalin for the nerve pain instead. Starting very slowly at 25mg twice a day and seeing how that works. I still had lots of pain to deal with daily with tramadol unless I took it, hoping the pregabalin quells the pain and I feel more pain free again.
I was prescribed Tramadol for pain after knee replacement surgery as I declined opioids….they don’t help the pain but rather effect your CNS….and they are constipating. I took Tramadol for about a month. I felt very off but it did help. The biggest deal for me was detoxing from it. It was a scary experience. With all drugs of this nature tapering off is the best way.
Unos de los posibles efectos secundarios diarios del tramadol es el estreñimiento.Para eso envían algún medicamento que reblandezca las heces. El polietilenglicol (PEG 3350) 17 hrs al día.
