My father was diagnosed with follicular B cell Lymphoma diagnosed in stage 4. He is 76 years old. He has type 2 diabetes and a stroke 7 years ago that impaired his right side. chemo is not offered as an option.

Rituximab is what they are offering. We have not started it yet. Are there other alternatives as well or better than Rituximab any suggestions or information on other ways to support and fight his cancer With
in addition to that?

Welcome, @sfaceym. I moved your question about starting treatment for follicular B cell lymphoma to this existing discussion:
- Starting Bendamustine and Rituxin for Follicular Lymphoma https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/starting-bendamustine-and-rituxin-for-follicular-lymphoma/

I did this so you can read previous posts and comment with other members like @valandsheri, @hnipper1 @vonbaron36 @bogie60 @lee59 @susanlim @caracello22 and more who also have follicular lymphoma and share their treatment experiences - some with Rituximab or a combination of meds.

Rituximab is a type on immunotherapy which targets the B-cells and is quite effective in treating lymphoma. It sounds like your dad's cancer team have considered his health status and related conditions to consider a treatment that is best for him. But I'm reading hesitancy in your post. Were their issues raised that have you concerned about the choice of immunotherapy? What concerns do you have?
