Granuloma Annulare and PMR
Hi, prior to getting PMR, I was diagnosed with Granuloma Annulare, a benign skin condition. I'm wondering if there is a connection and if anyone in our group has been diagnosed with GA, along with PMR?
Thank you!

@cheraloha, I did a search of Connect and wasn't able to find anyone else that mentioned Granuloma Annulare along with PMR. There does seem to be a connection with GCA though and GCA has a connection with PMR. Here's more information:

Thank you so much. Truly appreciate the time you took to do the research.
My father who is 83 year old now, he was diagnosed with glanulloma annulare, but ut also had symptoms of Pmr, now he still have the glanulomma annulare, and the PMR which is pain in joints have reduce, as well as the federal that he used to have at the beginning when the glanulomma annulare appeared in his
Body. Do you feel itchiness? My father does if the inflammation increases, currently he is taking 5mg of prednisone, and itchiness has rwsuce, but the rash still there.
Thank you for your response and I'm sorry to hear about your father's suffering. It is interesting to me that there may be a connection. I'm grateful that mine does not itch and it actually appears to be lessening with the prednisone meds. Can't help but wonder about the connection? Definitely need to learn more....
If I give him 10 mg to 20mg, of prednisone, the rash goes completely away, but we are trying to reduce the dosis of prednisone. That is why we are using 5mg. I took him to see a new rwumatologist and ge wants to take him out of the prednisone.
