Anyone found support meetings (online or in person) for newly widowed?

Has anyone found a helpful online in person support group for thr newly widowed ?

@kathi090518 Folks will say I can't imagine what you are going through. I can. We need to cherish the memories, and I hope you find some level of comfort in your grief as well. I am also considering seeing a grief counselor in a week or so if I don't improve. My sister did just that 10 years ago, took a few sessions and it helped her. Wishing you the best and take care.

I'm starting an in person group with Groupshare on the 10th in Albert Lea. Am trying to reach out but it's so hard.

@kathi090518 Are you attending a GriefShare meeting in person or starting one? I did one online, about 10 people were involved from all over the US. I'm in NJ, people attended online from Calif to Maine. There is one in person locally where I am, but it conflicts with my schedule. There is another organization in my area limited to those who lost a spouse or partner/companion, that is what I'm attending and is helpful. Wish you the best. Ed
