Hi - thank you so much for your response! I too am hoping to hear if anyone has experienced anything similar. After reading your message, I started thinking. I have been diagnosed with SIBO and I wonder if all of this bacteria is somehow connected.
My ENT didn't say too much, regarding pathogenic vs normal flora. They messaged me and said, "The doctor has reviewed your culture and shows that there are 3 different bacteria causing infection. We would like to start you on Gentamicin irrigations. Unfortunately the bacteria is not susceptible to the Augmentin you are currently taking. ...", and also told me to do the Gentamicin rinse, twice daily for 30 days. On day 4 now, so I am hoping this will work.
I have never heard of beta Glucan and will definitely talk to my doctor about it.
