vulva issues
For the past 9 months I have been dealing with a persistent ulcer that recurs with some regularity. It seems to happen if I wear jeans or some pants that cut into my crotch, or I scratch my crotch (yes it itches a lot)
I am post menopausal age 65 and never had problems like this before. The ulcer will clear up usually after about 7-10 days then will pop up again after a week or so. The itching though never really stops. It's driving me crazy! I've tried every ointment from diaper rash (which works best when the ulcer first appears) When the ulcer is basically like a water blister it hurts a lot when I use the bathroom! To the point that i have to keep water streaming on it or keep a cool washcloth nearby. I have searched the entire web for this and it seems to be one of 4 things, Herpes, lichen sclerosis, or vaginal atrophy, or worse cancer.
Anyone else have this happen or any experience with this, any help is appreciated!

That for your your reply! I work at CVS so u know exactly the pill splitter you are talking about … lol. I thought about trying a vaginal probiotic but I am not sure it will help me with issues. I do not have any bladder leakage, just mostly a burning dry feeling. Which I know vaginal estrogen will cure. But like you I am afraid. I work in a pharmacy and know there is a newer product called intrarosa which is a dha suppository. I may phone my doctor this week and ask for a prescription for it. I am at a loss. lol. Yagifem works well! And I have a pill splitter so may look into that. Do you think a probiotic vaginal suppository will help with dryness burning and irritation?
Edit , intrarosa is a DHEA not DHA 🙂
Does the estring really work? Is it used with hrt?
Im tired of the mess in using vaginal cream
I had similar issues. Finally changed Laundry detergent and fabric softer as well as dryer sheets to unscented and it cleared up.
I am using the Estradiol 10 mcg vaginal tabs, and happy with the result. You insert tiny estrogen tabs with an applicator twice a week. Quick and easy, takes 2 seconds, and SO much better than the vaginal cream!
I tried the E-string, which lasts for 3 months, but had problems getting it to stay in due to prolapse issues.
Forgot to add that I am also on HRT patch along with the vaginal tabs.
Hey there—
I started on the estring. It’s a game changer for me. There’s a discharge issue but I think it will work itself out.
Thank you for the advice and helpful information
