Same subject, but different problem

I just got back from a new demonology group. The PA said I should not be using Clobetasol for LS instead I should change to TACROLIMUS. He said Clobetasol can atrophy everything. He sent a new script in for me for TAC. but I doubt I will use it without more research, hope you all can help with that.

Any thoughts on this? I have been using Clob for about 3 years and so far so good...

Diamonddi. I was a little excited when I first read your post. I have Tacrolimus on hand. It was recommended by my dermatologist to apply to lichen planus sites as they may appear on my skin. I did some reading about this med just now and what gives me pause (in regard to putting it on my labia) is it is stressed that it should not be used if you have a history of skin cancer. I do. I've had numerous squamous cancer surgeries so to even consider using something on my labia, with a chance of getting cancer, scares me. I think I'm going to have to make some appts with a couple of doctors and get some really good guidance. I don't know what the answer will be but my pain level is very high. It only hurts when I actually pee so that's good but my goal is to get the pain under better control. It is affecting my quality of life. Thanks.

That’s what they gave me n I’ve been using it for atleast 10 years. Clobetsol I’m referring to. I’ve never had a problem using it, n it’s always done the trick
