Torture at night: Burning when something presses the skin

Posted by pitepalten @pitepalten, Oct 11, 2021

I have had this burning for the last 2 months. Started slow but have progressed. It is worse at night. It feels like where something presses on the skin it burns. I think that is why I can’t sleep. I have had the nerve tests but shows nothing. Anyone had something similar?

Gradually over a few months. All I can think it was related to long Covid, the Covid shot or the one shingles shot I took around that time. Hope you have the same luck.

I have that ongoing burning nerve pain on the front of my calves. Painful to the touch.. I have had two spinal cord tumors removed from my spinal cord at T10. Been painful since surgeries in 2015 and 2016. Neuropathy pain in both feet. Just had a Spinal Cord Stimulator installed two weeks ago. Hoping for success, but no success yet in dampening the nerve pain. Working with Medtronic's reps to find a successful setting.
Nerve pain, needles and pins has been a part of my life for the past 10 years. Not fun. Some days challenging to walk due to the pain, but we persevere thru. No one medical person has all of the answers to solving these tricky nerves.
i hope you find relief. One topical that I do use that seems to help is Ketimine topical, made up at my local pharmacy. Need a prescription to get, but helps some. May last 4-5 hours, then another application if needed.
I also take Gabapeten ,, 800mg, 3 times a day. I hate it, but it gives some relief. Also, Lyrica can be used too.
best of luck in the journey to solve nerve pain issues.
Unless you have this condition, most people do not understand. So you world becomes small.
