I just read this. I am new on this journey. I agree with all the comments. Every day is different, I see my partner change every day, slip away while I take on more and more. I know 24/7 is just starting and time to do things is behind me. Your comments are right on. His kids, that I raised the past 30 years, are in denial. 'Help' doesn't come. Caregiving is constant. Tired is constant. No time is constant. The list of things to do is constant. And I have just begun my journey. Who knows when I will have time to post again. People/friends/family who don't understand treat it like a contagious disease and stay away. As someone stated, a call, a note, a small act means so very much. Thank you to those ahead of me on this journey. You are a guiding light on a path I must take into a darkness I don't want. Peace and Love.

@pattitrites2024 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am so very glad you found us and had the courage to post. While each of us has their own unique story and journey, I have no doubt you will find words of encouragement here.
