Recently diagnosed with small cell lung cancer
After my recent diagnosis of small cell lung cancer, I found this forum and have found it an incredibly helpful resource for information. Thanks to all who share here. After a first round of chemotherapy, this past week I began radiation therapy and chemotherapy simultaneously. Besides some fatigue, things seem to be going well and I feel better than I have since the first noticeable symptoms appeared. I was a smoker for fifty years so getting the diagnosis was sobering but not shocking. So, I haven't any anxiety or depression as a result. I also have strong religious convictions and that is a great help too.

Hi Larry, I wanted to say that I admire your mindset very much, getting a diagnosis of cancer is earth shattering for some of us, myself included, I also respect you for your acceptance of getting sick after smoking for many years, I failed miserably with this one too. You said that you have strong religious beliefs and that truly makes you a much stronger person and I’m now trying very hard to put more trust and faith in myself and God, I can already feel some good things coming my way, thank you for sharing your life, it’s very inspiring and I’m glad that I have found the best way to live my life, good luck with your journey to better health.
Hi frouke, Thank you so much for the kind reply. Yes, it is much to take in and I understand how it can be more difficult for some. Please know your story is just as inspiring to me. That's what I like about this forum. Everyone helping others get through the journey. Take care and best wishes for better health for you.

I have stage 4 lung cancer diagnosed 7 months ago and have been using infrared saunas does anyone out there think that might help
Hi @baseline55, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. If you feel good using the infrared sauna then it may be right for you, assuming your doctors are ok with it.
Do your lungs tolerate the heat ok?
