Has anyone had success with Mirtazapine?

@exeter, you're right. Mirtazapine is not a sleeping tablet but it can make you feel sleepy. This can be helpful if you have depression and difficulties getting to sleep.

I have had insomnia since about 1973 but I am not depressed at all. I have taken about 6 different sleeping pills but have been on Temazepam the longest. Lorazepam, Dalmane (strong), Elavil (strong), Trazadone, etc.

The Temazepam works ok for me so I didn't want to add a second medication and take TWO every night. If I get four good hours of sleep I can manage ok. And I do that with the one pill.

I've got the pills here and might give it a try and see what happens. I take just the sleeping pill and blood pressure medication - nothing else - and am pretty healthy.
