Thank you. It is good that you are keeping an eye on your thyroid. I only accidentally found a nodule on a ct scan for cervical spine surgery. No doctor pointed this out to me. I was paying a bill and happened to review the pre-surgical testing/reports and found it. By the time I had it out, it was about 2.5 cm. I had it removed because it was suspicious and my sister had a full thyroidectomy due to malignant cancer. She was only 27 at the time. I was 52
When I had my lobectomy. I need to monitor a macro calcification on my left lobe to make sure cancer doesn’t show up there. My last ultrasound showed some thyroid tissue regrowth on the right side so will want to make sure to keep an eye on that, too, since there seems to me a micro calcification in the regrowth.
