I just quit today and am wearing a nicotine patch. Just diagnosed with copd one month ago and am age 77. I quit drinking 25 years ago due to nerve damage caused by the alcohol. And I'm sooooo much better not drinking. So I know I can quit smoking, one damned day at a time. I must quit so the copd does not get worse.

I’m currently reading Allen Carr’s book Easy Way to Stop Smoking. It’s really helping me get a different perspective on quitting smoking and why the WILLPOWER method has never worked for me. He encourages people not to quit until they have finished the whole book but I’m sure it would help someone who has already quit. Good luck!
