Anyone else having cystoscopy for monitoring bladder cancer?
3 years ago was diagnosed with low grade bladder C and is now in the tri monthly follow up using cystoscopy. Occasionally new cysts observed are burned. Doctor doesn’t say if cancer still exist. Didn’t do immunotherapy so just monitoring.
Does anyone have this experience?

@sien76, cystoscopy is used to diagnose, monitor and treat conditions affecting the bladder and urethra, including cysts and cancer. Glad to hear the most recent follow-up was clear. What treatment did you have when first diagnosed?
Yes, my husband has had 5 surgeries since 1999 called TURBIT. We understand that it is bladder cancer. This is why you're doing the follow-up cystoscopy every 3 months. My husband does the same thing. If 3 month visit is clear, they will move him to every 6 months, if clear to every 9 months, if clear every 12 months.
Thank you
