I have heard of it. I have been following any group like this for the same reason. I believe the drug causes increased heart rate and it also effects the heart in other ways. My husband has CHF and was actually cleared to take the drug. After being on it 3 months and losing 20lbs, his defibrillator went off. He now has afib and tachycardia. The last afib said it lasted 34 minutes. I can only speculate the meds are responsible.

Hello, nearly the same thing happened to my husband this week. He has CHF and has had a defibrillator for 5 years. The defibrillator has never gone off until this week (VT and irregular heartbeat).
He increased his dose last Saturday, and by Wednesday his defibrillator went off three times in 10 hours. He was in the hospital for two days (just brought him home last night). They put him on some meds that are keeping his heart rate in rhythm.
None of his doctors would actually say the drug was possibly the culprit, but it's quite bizarre. However, they did tell him to quit taking it.
