I have similar issues,mine is blocked during the day and night with a lot of post nasal drip,i have had 2 turbinates reduction surgery in the past felt better in 2024 all of a sudden its gone bad,doctor say we try another surgery and hes not even given me the assurance it will work.currently on steriod sprays

Stop with the surgeries.
Congestion, nasal/sinus defense mechanisms are all intrinsic responses.

There is nothing that the cutting, dissecting of tissues/bones will do for a patient. Less than 1% of patients whom present to an ENT, which should be a very very very last stop on the list, would ever need/benefit from a nasal/sinus surgery.

Most patients “feel” better for a little bit because of major nerve disruption and healing and the belief (placebo) affect that someone aka their surgeon has helped them.

Many people have co-existing conditions that contribute to nasal/sinus reactions such as allergies, medications, diabetes, poorly diet or an onset of ongoing inflammation.

NONE of this is due to improperly functioning anatomy. And it’s about time people stop putting their belief into the bread and butter.money grab jobs of ENTs.
