I had a single arc of light that continued for 8 months until it was diagnosed. Then I had more flashing lights and thought I saw shadows of things that weren't really there. The most important thing is for you to see an eye doctor asap. If you tell them about the lights, they may try to get you in quickly. Ophthalmologists are good for that sort of thing, but any eye doctor who is good, listens to your concerns and does appropriate tests should be able to determine whether you need a retinal specialist.

Hopefully it's something that can be quickly dealt with.

What were you diagnosed with?
