Neuropathy?

I have numbness in both lower legs and feet. I experience it all day but worse when I sit down with my legs extended. MRI and nerve conduction test are normal. I’m not diabetic. I’m going to see a neurologist but couldn’t get an appointment until august. I want to ask for the small fiber nerve biopsy. Any thoughts or experiences you guys could share would be appreciated. This condition affects every part of my life. Thanks!

Welcome @ksm1007, I also have numbness in both legs that started in my toes when I was in my mid 40s. I shared my neuropathy journey in another discussion along with the stories of other members here - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/310341/. My suggestion would be to learn as much as you can about your condition and what you can do to manage it including any lifestyle changes. A good place to start is the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy - https://www.foundationforpn.org/.

I would write a list of any questions you might have and take them to your neurologist appointment. Did the numbness start overnight or did it gradually appear over a period of time?
