I had Candida pretty bad in my esophagus and a little in my stomach. Some still in the yeast form and others little bacteria critters with their bio-film on top of them. It has been very hard to get it out of my throat after 7 years. The first Drs told me it was acid re flux and they would give me a bottle of meds for it. Some wanted me to take anti-depressants. I kept giving up!
