Tinnitus
Has anyone found anything that helps with tinnitus in long covid? Tinnitis started this past week. I’ve found very limited knowledge in the medical resources where I live on any long covid issues. High pitched sound in ears/head.

Hi-I live in Asheville and would like to have name/contact information for your Chiropractor in Charleston. Long COVID since 2022 that gifted me with constant Tinnitus so will travel to get help.
Thanks so much!
Hi Nurse1😊
Before traveling from Asheville, I want to provide more recent comments. This torque treatment gave me almost instant relief. Meaning the tinnitus went from “a million cicadas chirping “ to a much quieter sound. Sometimes it’s gone for periods of time and sometimes returns but the noise is softer or just one ear, and not annoying and easier to ignore. The Dr says some of his patients were permanently released from it, but they never had longcovid! Most ENTs will tell you there is no cure, but dramatic improvement has been possible by these regular adjustments. I did them twice weekly then weekly.
I also got Essential Tremor from LC which also has no cure. But my chiropractor manipulates my lower spine and my tremors are either absent or manageable. A huge life gift!
He is Nationally connected to many Chiropractic Organizations and was a sports chiropractor for professional athletes. Since he is well connected he may be able to recommend a gifted chiropractor near you.
The bad news is he has been out for surgery and doesn’t return until late March. I haven’t had any adjustments in a month and my body has retained his adjustments, but I’m still eager to have him return. No relapse!
His office is open only Monday/Wed/Fri and his receptionist Beth is still there while he’s out. My Humana insurance only requires a $20 copay per visit.
If you call and ask Beth, I am confident the Dr would discuss your situation with a call back. I can also mention you and I connected.

Hope you are well otherwise. I was sick for 3 years 🙃 and adjusting to the different me. (LC also gave me Peripheral Neuropathy)
All we can do is manage or find answers for our specific problems Covid left us with. Soooo many are different; there is no “one cure”.
Mind over matter!
Kind regards,
Barb
Hi Barb! I can’t tell you how much your response means to me.. first of all I have NEVER had another LC person describe their tinnitus as Cicada! That is exactly what mine has been from the beginning in 2022. As a nurse I was familiar with the typical tinnitus usually described by patients as “ringing in the ears” which I never had. The Neurologist at Yale and UNC looked at me like I was crazy when I desperately described what my head felt like. I also have pressure that moves inside my head, so crazy it’s unbelievable.
Thank you for the information about Dr Grossman. I have been to several Chiropractors here but none who had any handle on this issue. So will reach out to that office this week. I am planning a trip to the coast anyway-so it would be worth the trip.
I certainly hope you continue to feel better and that your symptoms subside. I empathize with you about keeping a positive attitude during what has been such a challenging time. Take care and in the case you would like to consider keeping in touch here is my info:

Hi Elaine
Dr Grossman has been out for surgery and is coming back part time 3/17. I am seeing him on 3/17 😁 so will tell him and his office manager Beth about you.
I will ask him if he knows any credible Doctors near you he could recommend, as a couple treatments by him may get you started when you vacation here, but follow up appointments are necessary (atleast for me) to keep my head calm. I can either get back to you after 3/17 or give him a couple days to settle back in and you can call the office.
Lmk what’s best for you.
He is truly a blessing for both my tinnitus and calming my Essential Tremors..and more.
In good health,
Barb
PS: After I talk to Dr Grossman if you prefer, I will connect privately and not through Mayo;
you have my cell number and now I have yours!
We’ll connect after 3/17.
I’ve had tinnitus since my long Covid started. If I’m over mentally, physically, or emotionally stressed, it gets louder.
I’ve been to loud concerts where my ears may ring a little of the next day. But this long Covid tinnitus never ends.
I had tinnitus before covid existed. But it has got worse, and I get this weird dizziness, feeling in my head, when I turn left or right, or sometimes I don't have to do anything, I do not know if it's connected, or something else.. it is the weirdest feeling
I have not found anything that helps and I find that I have it louder on days that I feel worse. It has been going on for the 3 years I have had this. I believe Long COVID is an autoimmune disease. The tinnitus is particularly loud in the mornings.
Hi Elaine
Dr Grossman is back half days this month and I saw him Monday.😊
I told him about you. He recommended that whenever you come here on vacation make 3 appointments M/W/F. You should be able to tell after that whether this manipulation will work or not for you.
He also said he will check chiropractors in Ashville he could recommend.
He’s swamped now until he comes back full time.
I couldn’t get back in until Wednesday 4/9!
So if you want to see him it may take alittle while.
When I see him on 4/9 I can relay any message you wish.
I didn’t know if you were planning a visit here to coincide with a festival or city event.
Just lmk how I can assist further.
Regards
Barb
I'm curious if you went ahead with the Lenire and if so, did it help? I was looking into it and sort of let it slide. I'm waiting for an ENT appt, which I'm not super hopeful about.
