Palpable Lump not visible on scans..what now?

I found it almost 6 months ago, it was probably a dime size before and more of a quarter now but a bit more oval shape or elongated. I wouldn’t say painful, maybe tender if pushed on? But it’s pretty visible if I wear a V neck top or tank top.
So asking for a biopsy would be my next step? How hard is that usually to get?
I have a history of breast cancer in my family as well but because I’m only 31 and breastfeeding everyone’s brushing it off as breastfeeding related. This is my 4th breastfed baby and I’ve been in the hospital for mastitis before. This isn’t even close to my milk ducts 🤦🏽‍♀️

I am not a breast surgeon, but as a BC patient, that was my next step.
What I can say is that you shouldn’t just take no for an answer if you can see and feel something abnormal. Keep trying until someone can give you a reason for it. In my case the needle core biopsy came back negative, but my doctor did an excisional biopsy, removing the lump and doing a biopsy on it.
I would hate to think this has been sitting there for 6 months. Are you comfortable asking your doctor for a closer look?
