I experienced internal vibrations beginning late 2020 and through 2022. These constant vibrations were especially strong in my face. I developed keratitis in both of my eyes. I felt as if the inflammation of my corneas was coming from my facial nerves vibrating. I also experienced vibrations in my chest, legs, and feet. I saw my primary dr., ophthalmologist, neurologist, and a rheumatologist to try to diagnose and treat the vibrations. I had two courses of steroid eye drops approximately six months apart to treat the keratitis. I had one course of oral steroids May of 2021 to treat the body vibrations. The steroids seemed to help. The keratitis did resolve, the vibrations now 4 years later have minimized. I do continue to get calf muscle and toe cramps that are severe and feel somehow ‘deeper’.
Trying to become as healthy as possible, I did alter my diet : no wheat products, alcohol, or sugar. Similar to the ‘whole 30’ guidelines. I have been following this over 2 years.
I don’t know if it was treatment with steroids during the acute phase, my diet changes, or simply time, but my internal vibrations have lessened 90%. I still experience the deep leg and toe cramps.
I appreciate all the new studies on IT. Only one of the doctors I saw at the time told me this was psychosomatic. This of course was distressing to hear. I recently contacted her through my healthcare patient advocacy office and provided her with new studies on long COVID and internal vibrations. She was receptive and called me to speak. I appreciated her doing this very much.
These symptoms are challenging and affect your life every day. This was my experience, thank you for sharing yours.

I have read your post and wanted to just say how sorry I am that you’re suffering. I too get extreme cramps in my upper, inner thigh on occasion if I’m on my feet a lot, during the night. Excruciating and debilitating until they finally let up which could last about 5-10 minutes! I’ve been drinking LMNT which is an Electrolyte Powder that you can order on Amazon. There is 1000 mg of sodium, 200 mg. Potassium and 60 mg of Magnesium. Very potent and since I’ve been drinking these, my cramps come much less often and are not as strong or last as long. I wish you good health on your journey!

This is very interesting, what was the name of the oral steroid if you don't mind me asking, I would like to share this with my local GP and get her opinion and hopefully some help 4 years I can't take anymore.
