Pylarify is the latest agent.

Both gallium-68 and polarify are used in a Pluvicto scan. Results are similar.
Did you guys have PSMA/ MRI and PSMA PET , or just PSMA PET ?
I just looked at the Mayo, UCSF ans Fred Hutch websites for PSMA Pet scan. They all state the Gallium GA 68 PSMA-11 is used. It is also what I had in the 2022 PSMA clinical trial I was in.
I know many people that have had Pylarify. It’s discussed occasionally at the weekly Ancan.org meetings.
I had an MRI and a PSMA PET scan with Gallium in 2021.
UCSF does have anclinical trial ongoing clinical trial with Pylarify.
PYLARIFY® PET/CT or PET/MRI in Men with Favorable Intermediate Risk (FIR) Prostate Cancer. Here is the link: https://clinicaltrials.ucsf.edu/trial/NCT06074510
I believe it was originally approved in 2021 for men with suspected metastasis. https://www.fda.gov/drugs/news-events-human-drugs/fda-approves-second-psma-targeted-pet-imaging-drug-men-prostate-cancer#:~:text=FDA%20approved%20the%20first%20PSMA,cancer%20imaging%20indications%20as%20Pylarify.
The current trial at UCSF is a stage 4 open label study to gather data for a broader FDA approval. The safety and efficacy are known and it is an open label trial so you know that Plarify will be used. There should be no cost to you or insurance, but ask so you'll know, if your husband meets the trials criteria. They might also be able to get him in more quickly. Lastly, if it is of interest, it's great to participate in clinical trials to help move the science we all rely on forward.
Aawee, guys you are amazing < 3. Great friends and so knowledgeable about everything and always with great new ideas and suggestions. 🙂
Tomorrow I will spend day reading all links and doing research about it all. My husband will try to per sway urologist to add PSMA MRI to PSMA PET - keeping fingers crossed. *sigh
Once more, thanks so much for helping and giving me links and all. < 3
UCSF PSMA clinical trial for high risk: https://clinicaltrials.ucsf.edu/trial/NCT06235151
Given your husband's NCCN Risk category, this is likely the trial he would qualify for, should he want to participate in a trial.
I had PYLARIFY F-18) for my PSMA PET at Mayo Rochester in May 2024.
