I had the phlegm, too. I saw a post on here that said their respirologist told them it was because their upper sphincter was not working properly and the throat was cocooning the larynx to prevent damage from acid travelling up into the throat. Do you have a history of excess acid? I do.

After I had Covid, I experienced excess phlegm, both yellow and clear. An OTC solution that worked for me was Mucinex. It thins the phlegm, both yellow and clear, so you don't end up having to clear your throat every few minutes. It seemed to work for me in 24 hours.
