Well, @llynch I am in your court. I actually tried Repatha two times, even one injection of the other PCSK9, Praluent. From there, I guess hindsight would say all attempts were like the square peg, round hole analogy. I kept getting run in circles by my doctors. What do you want to do? Noone listened to me and I was not treated well by my providers. All the while like you, my quality of life tanked and I have had times that death sounded better. I am so glad that most people do not have these problems, and I do hope people like @con123 stay cautiously optimistic. Odds are, it’ll work for them! For me, I kept trying to get someone to listen to me. I do have a care team now that has walked me through figuring out how to treat my cholesterol. Are you referring to bempedoic acid? It is the most recent I have added, and with success! After decades of way too high numbers I finally am feeling better about that soft plaque running through my body. We are finding a treatment combo that is bringing my numbers to a good place.

Where did you find a care team that's helping you lower your cholesterol and what are you doing? Mine is not diet or exercise related. It's genetic. I cannot tolerate statins so have been on Repatha for 3 months and knee pain , stiff knee joints all coming back to the extent that I cannot do anything i love any longer. I need to get off of this but I have genetically high cholesterol. Need to find someone who can help me so I can live my life again.
