I have been researching Reclast as well as Forteo and I am very wary of the osteocronosis as well as the risk of breaking my femur. I am going to choose Forteo instead of Reclast because;
1. I have seen the blogs on this site of people taking Reclast and its very strong and there is no turning back once it is in your system. if a person has a severe reaction there is not much you can do.
2. Forteos's side effects are less severe;
-joint pain 16%
-Flu-like symptoms 14%
-Hot flashes 10%
-Bronchitis 10%
-Runny nose 10%
and other side effects under 10% including Diarrhea and swelling in arms and legs.
Reclast does have similar side effects except it also has serious side effects such as osteocronosis, femur fracture, and severe kidney problems. Although those severe side effects are rare-it scares me even having a chance of it happening.

I'm not switching to Reclast. It's something they want me to take once at the end of my Forteo run in October '25. Like you, I've heard some negative things about Reclast. Going to weigh the +/- of it and decide then.
