I posted question about.Having Waldenstroms diagnosed a year ago. for a year and getting rutuxin infusions and Imbruvica and prednisone . Igg and iga very very low . Dr wants to add immunoglobulins igg I guess. What can I expect? Cost, side effects, new fusion or will it be given with rutxin tons of questions after I left office. Should I pass? A little frustrated. Thought I’d be on the mend by now.

I was given Ivig infusions last year (2 doses) and it was much easier than I'd expected. It takes a while (very slow drip the first time) as they have to be sure you don't have any reaction to the dosage, but very easy to tolerate. They gave me benadryl (or something similar) which kept any reaction at bay but also allowed for some very nice naps!

My igg numbers are always low (comes with the Splenic Marginal Zone Lymphoma) and I am only on track to get the infusions if I'm fighting an active infection, etc.
