not even sure where to start.

I just joined this today. I had lab tests done and my doctor will not follow up like before and i called him three times. i am thinking of seeing someone else.
what was flagged was high platelets, low iron saturation. and i had a thyroid ultrasound which revealed enlarged lymph nodes in my neck
i am not sure what to do and kind of feel like giving up.
im trying to contact my new primary care.
is this all in my head?

@faeriequeene Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! Sounds like you needed to find us and I’m glad that you did! This is a large group of people who share their health issues and try to help others. We’re not health professional so lab tests and other medical things go right over most heads. The doctor , who ordered the tests-your PCP? is probably like most doctors today-overwhelmed. If you like your PCP, don’t changed. Good ones can be hard to find. For now, take some time for yourself and stay with Mayo Connect. We’ll try to help!

The most important thing is that giving up is not an option. You'll have to persevere. Try to schedule an appointment to review lab results and discuss the next course of action. As mentioned above, your doctor may be overwhelmed with patients coming into the office. Good luck and let us know how things work out.

i wanted to reply to clarify things and thank you both.

so this was a specialist. not a primary care.
i dont really if i have a primary care or not.
i saw this doctor some years ago and he was more attentive. a lot of people are complaining about the same thing and think he should retire. i do think he was nice and caring and its been since november for me.
thank you for commenting.
i do understand how doctors could be busy. but i do think i need to move on from him. i called them twice since this all happened. and then the receptionist said she thought he already discussed things with me. he did not.
something cant be being filed right. they dont even have portals or anything. still using papers.

Ya the portal thing makes a big difference. You can see all notes, tests and communications. In a last ditch effort you could try to schedule an appointment to talk this all out. Most likely not going to happen through messages and phone calls unfortunately. But it's your choice, sometimes you know when it's not working. I would at least try to talk one on one first.
