I believe my Orofacial pain specialist diagnosed me after panoramic x-ray of my face. Nobody informed me. I've learned to follow medical info on my chart. I'm my own advocate, I do my own research, I request to see specialists, ask for referrals, and now when I'm treated poorly, which has happened for years, I find a new PCP. I interview them, as well. I ask if they are willing to go the extra mile for their patients, among other questions. By the way, a chiropractor planted the seed for me. Best wishes to you.
