Hello, I don’t know if anyone is still on this thread but I too am wondering about the estradiol patch. I’m coming up with mixed reviews on if it’s safe or not. I’m hoping someone has experience with using it.

Ceri, are you concerned about HRT in relation to Leiden Factor V or other blood disorder?

I was diagnosed estradiol yesterday, but I too am concerned about it's safety. I was diagnosed with Factor V leiden and put on blood thinners about four years ago after having ischemic colitis three different times. They first thought there was some issue with my colon but after colonoscopy and CT, etc. they decided it was a blood clotting problem. Since taking the blood thinners, I haven't had any issues thankfully. I really want to start the HRT, but I am also scared!
