What is the Mackenzie Maneuver? I have sciatica, stenosis, and bulging disc. Lumbar pain shots help, so do the new grounded shoes aka HIKE shoes. Kept me pretty pain free for 6 months. Then, I slipped, didn't fall, but after on and off oral steroids, etc. I bent over a desk, and ended up in ER. Just had lumbar a couple days ago.

You can Google the MacKenzie Maneuver...it is a short series of movements. I got sciatica from PT for my back. I get relief from pain injections into my SI joints areas...lower than the standard epidural. Pain when it flares is horrible, so I understand. I also seem to need helped by those HIKE shoes, or Grounded shoes, or barefoot shoes, whatever you call them. Not sure why, but they seem to help. Sleep with pillow under my knees...used to be a side sleeper, but am trying to stay on my back now.
