Can I get a 2nd opinion on a meningioma
A mass was found in my brain after accidentally falling with a ct scan 1 week later an mri confirmed it. Yesterday the neurosurgeon office said they wouldn't touch it and don't feel my headaches and sight issues are coming from that. It lies between my left Occipital Lobe amd Ceribal. I high risk cancer and benign tumors have turned cancerous in my mother killing her at age 50, also grandmother died of cancer at age 50. Already had hysterectomy due to fear of cancer and my thyroid has several they are already watching. We were told cant guarantee it won't but also that they didn't want to remove it just watch it but we are not ok with watching it and it becoming to late to take care of. Would rather have it removed now while still manageable.

@eshelman1977, welcome to Connect. I don’t blame you for wanting a 2nd opinion. I would opt for that too, for peace of mind if for nothing else.
Considering your past history it would be reassuring to hear from another reputable medical source that it’s ok to leave well enough alone.
Here is a link to Mayo Clinic where you can initiate the request for an appointment. http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
Open that page and there will be prompts for starting the process. You’ll be able to opt for which campus is more convenient for you. There are Mayo Clinic’s in Rochester, MN Jacksonville, FL Phoenix, AZ
If Mayo isn’t an option for you, do you live near a larger teaching hospital or university hosptial?
